Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) Homeownership Project

West and East Oakland are the target areas for OakCLT's NSP Homeownership Project. These areas were identified by the Department of Housing and Urban Development as being high risk areas based on a number of factors related to community stability (including foreclosures, vacancy, subprime loan activity, and defaulted home loans).

Neighborhood Stabilization Program Homeownership Project

The initial project of the Oakland Community Land Trust is based on Neighborhood Stabilization Program funds from the City of Oakland, and involves the acquisition and rehabilitation of a projected 200 single-family homes in Oakland.  These homes will be sold to working families earning between 50 and 80 percent of the area median income, and as part of the OakCLT, will remain affordable to people in this income range forever.  Please check back regularly to monitor our progress -- go here to see the current list of OakCLT homes for sale.
