This past week, the Oakland Community Land Trust along with our CLT partners in the Bay Area Consortium of CLTs hosted over 500 CLT residents, staff, and board members, as well as housing advocates, policy makers, funders, and more for Grounded Solutions Network’s Intersections 2017 conference at the Oakland Marriott Convention Center. OakCLT kicked off the week with CLT resident ambassadors from the around the country, taking them on a tour of past, current, and future OakCLT projects. The Bay Area Consortium of CLTs, with an array of local sponsors, hosted an opening reception to welcome everyone to Oakland. Throughout the week, Consortium-member CLTs also led conference sessions on City-CLT partnerships, equitable property taxation for community land trusts, affordable housing cooperatives, and commercial anti-displacement efforts. OakCLT thanks our Bay Area CLT family, including SFCLT, NCLT, BACLT, HLTSC, PAHALI, CLAM, and Bolinas CLT.
