On Common Ground: International Perspectives on the Community Land Trust is a volume of 26 essays from CLTs practitioners, scholars, and organizers from around the world. Released by the Center for Community Land Trust Innovation, On Common Ground traces the global expansion of the CLT model, offers case studies on notable CLTs, and asks critical, reflective questions on the uses and implementation of community land trusts with an eye towards pushing the model forward into the future.  Steve King from OakCLT contributed a chapter on the many uses of the CLT beyond its hallmark outcome of permanently affordable homeownership.

A Guide to Transformative Land Strategies: Lessons from the Field is a new report released by the MIT Community Innovators Lab (CoLab). The report the work of a handful of “transformative community land organizations” with a focus on three areas of practice: participatory planning, partnerships between grassroots and more mainstream organizations, and community financing. The findings are relevant for activists, practitioners, policymakers, and educators who are invested in the potential of community land ownership. OakCLT is highlighted as one of nine transformative community land organizations, and the report features the insightful reflections of Zachary Murray, a former OakCLT staffer.
